Training

Our practice is actively involved in training young graduate doctors (`registrars') for general practice. You may be given an appointment to see a registrar. From time to time a medical student may also be attached to the practice, but as they are unqualified they are never responsible for patient care.

Medical Cover

When a doctor is not personally available, the other partners cover during their absence.

Practice Staff

Barnard Medical Practice has a practice manager, assistant practice manager, three secretaries, three clerks, six receptionists, four practice nurses, seven district nurses (various grades) and two health visitors employed by the PCT who work within the medical centre.
